Nokia 3220 NFC RFID Phone

Nokia is rolling out a new phone with RFID technology. The prototype phone used FOR this project IS a Nokia 3220 phone. WITH the RFID technology this phone IS capable OF reading ANY RFID tags AND writing TO an RFID information tag.
This IS the SECOND "RFID Nokia phone" announced this YEAR. A Nokia 5140 WITH a RFID reader was introduced IN September AT the CTIA Wireless Show IN San Francsico. Now Nokia announces a NFC (Near Field Communications) ADD-ON FOR the Nokia 3220.
The Nokia NFC shell uses the RFID (radio frequency identification) technology TO offers features LIKE access TO browsing, AND text message services simply by touching tags (WITH the phone) that contain service shortcuts.
As an example we could have an NFC-enabled advert AND WHEN you touch that advert WITH your phone you could GET MORE info about the product OR a URL linking TO a page WITH further information about the product. OR touch the cover OF a DVD WITH the phone TO see a 3 MINUTE trailer. LIKE it Just choose buy this DVD ON your phone screen AND itīs yours. The 9.90 euros FOR the DVD IS THEN charged via your phone bill. WHEN IS the NEXT bus arriving Touch the RFID tag AT the bus station - "next bus will arrive 15.46".
That was reading tags. RFID writing IS LIKE a virtual graffiti. Rather than writing a review ON a product ON the internet you can tag the info TO a product FOR other people TO READ. What about a restaurang menu WITH RFID technology Touch the pizza nordicana AND receive other peoples comment: "very good, but watch out for the chili!"
We Say: Yahoo news said this is semi-cool. Maybe, but some years from now this is everyday life and nothing FOR gadget lovers ONLY.
